LYNNE TAYLOR-CORBETT

(Director/Choreographer)

is known for her work in theatre, dance and film. She was nominated for two Tony Awards for direction and choreography of Broadway's Swing! and for two American Theatre Wing Star Awards for its national tour. She also choreographed Broadway's Chess and Titanic. Off-Broadway, she directed My Vaudeville Man (Drama Desk and Lortel nominations);Wanda's World (Drama Desk and Lortel Nominations, winner of the Joe E. Calloway Award); Marie Jones's Women on the Verge… … at Irish Arts, and she was the co-director of the Korean import Cookin' at the Minetta Lane. Her dance works have been commissioned by New York City Ballet, American Ballet Theatre, Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre, Hubbard Street Dance Company, the Carolina Ballet and companies throughout the world. Broadcasts of her work have been seen on Live from Lincoln Center and Live from the San Francisco Opera House. Her films include Footloose; My Blue Heaven; Vanilla Sky; and Bewitched. She directed Disney's Lion King in Hong Kong, currently playing in the largest indoor theatre in Asia, and is currently mounting Race for Love in China, a show that will be presented at Edinburgh this summer. was music director/arranger for the B'way production of Cry-Baby. She was also the resident music supervisor for the Tony-award winning revival of Company, and conducted the cast album which was nominated for a Grammy. She was music director/arranger for the Off-Broadway hit Altar Boyz, for which she received a Drama Desk nomination for orchestrations. Other Broadway credits include: Disney's Beauty And The Beast; You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown; The Lion King.
